As the Meeting is approaching we would like to provide you with the following practical information:

The Prague Metro network consists of 3 lines designated by letters and differentiated by color: A - green line, B - yellow line and C - red line.

The Prague Congress Centre is adjacent to the Vyšehrad station on line C of the Prague underground railway network, providing convenient access by public transport from the city’s airport and all major rail and bus stations.

By taxi

When taking a taxi, make sure the taxi is equipped with a permanently installed yellow roof lamp with the TAXI sign in black letters. The registration number, company name and price list including the base rate, rate per km and one-minute-waiting rate must be displayed on both front doors of the cab. These prices must correspond with the prices set on the meter in the cab. Customers are recommended to order a taxi with non-stop dispatching offices where the information on fares is available in advance. 

From the Václav Havel Airport Prague by public transportation:

Public transportation

Take the bus number 119 (the bus stop is located directly in from of Terminals 1 and 2) to Nádraží Veleslavín. From there you will arrive to the green line (A) metro of the same name; take the metro in the direction Depo Hostivař to Muzeum station. From there change to the red line (C) in direction of Háje to the station Vyšehrad. (Journey time: approx. 40 mins. Fare: approximately EUR 1*)

Airport Express Bus

The Airport Express bus line operates daily at regular 30-minute intervals. This connection can be used from 5:30 a.m. until 9:00 p.m. and will take you to Prague Main Station a.k.a.  Hlavní nádraží. From there, get on the metro in the direction of Háje to station Vyšehrad, where you will arrive to the Meeting venue.


Official entrances to the event

Entrance no. 4 will be marked from the metro station “Vyšehrad” (metro line C)


Parking is available in front of the Prague Congress Centre, either on the surface or underground. The parking fee is 50 CZK/hour or 500 CZK/24 hours. The parking ticket can be paid either via cash or credit card.


The registration booth is located on the first floor of the Prague Congress Centre. When entering the official entrance no. 4 you will be guided via signs, which should take you directly to the registration booth.

All materials including badge and conference bag will be handed to registered participants during the following opening hours:

Monday, September 24th            8:00 – 18:00
Tuesday, September 25th            8:15 – 17:30
Wednesday, September 26th      8:00 – 20:30
Thursday, September 27th          8:30 – 18:00
Friday, September 28th               8:30 – 18:00
Saturday, September 29th          8:30 – 13:00

Your name badge has to be worn at all times to gain access to the sessions.

Charity Run 28.9. – 7:30 AM

Don’t miss the opportunity to join the morning charity run at the Vyšehrad Castle. You will receive a complimentary T-shirt for the run as a part of your participation. All collected finances will be devoted to Jedlička Institute and Schools in Prague, which has been taking care of children and young people with various forms of disability since 1913. See more:

Gala Dinner 28.9. – 7:30 PM

We would like to cordially welcome you to the gala dinner, which will be held at the beautiful spaces of the renaissance building in the centre of Prague – National House of Vinohrady. It is our pleasure to offer you an exceptional experience accompanied by live music. During the night, we expect the shift from dining tables straight to the dance floors.

Transportation is not provided.

The aim of the seminar is to provide an overview of the developed platform and current  state of the art in terms of subject-specific modelling and predictive simulations.

Certificate of Attendance

The Certificate of Attendance will be forwarded to all of the participants by email after the Meeting.

Internet at the Venue 

The free Wi-Fi network is available for all participants. 


Currency is Czech Crown – CZK / Kč. 

Exchange rate 1 EUR = 25,7 CZK (in September 2018). 

It is advisable to exchange money in banks rather than in the street exchange offices or us the ATM. We advise not to change money at the airport.

Monday to Thursday 09:00-18:00
Friday                        09:00-16:00
Weekend                   closed

The credit cards are widely accepted in shops and restaurants. Also, EUR cash is widely accepted, but consider that the rates are usually not beneficial.

At the venue an ATM is located next to the Vyšehrad metro station and also next to the entrance n.5.

Electrical Appliances

If you are planning to bring electrical equipment (e.g. battery chargers, laptop power supply, etc.), please check whether you need an adapter. Electrical power is rated 230 V at 50 Hz. Most common power outlets are designed for a two-pin Euro plug (Plug types C, E & F ).


In restaurants guests usually tip the waiter with about 5-10%.


Prague is a city with a “mild continental climate”. The average temperature in September varies between 10 °C and 25°C.
